Plurus Strategies Expands Team Ahead of Lame Duck Session and 120th Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As clients prepare for an active lame duck session and the opportunities and challenges of the 120th Congress, Plurus Strategies today announced the promotion of Varunavee Mohanraj to Policy Analyst and the addition of Jessica Fernandez as Legislative Assistant.

The personnel moves reflect the firm's desire to build on the leadership of principles David Leiter and Georgette Kerr with continued growth and commitment to delivering more intelligence, more strategies, more access, more advocacy, and more expertise for clients navigating an increasingly complex federal policy environment.

In her new role as Policy Analyst, Mohanraj will take on expanded responsibilities supporting client advocacy, legislative strategy, policy research, and political intelligence efforts. Since joining the firm, she has played an important role in monitoring Congressional activity, supporting client engagements, and helping Plurus deliver timely insights on a wide range of federal policy issues, including foreign policy, defense, technology, and telecommunications.

Fernandez rejoins the firm as Legislative Assistant after previously serving as Plurus intern.  She will contribute to policy research, legislative tracking, stakeholder engagement, while supporting clients with interests in trade, energy and environment, and financial services. Her addition strengthens the firm's capacity to provide clients with real-time analysis and strategic guidance as Congress prepares to address a crowded legislative agenda in the lame duck and beyond.

"Demand for our services continues to grow as clients look for experienced partners to help them develop winning strategies in a rapidly evolving policy landscape," said Leiter, President and Co-Founder of Plurus Strategies. "Varunavee has consistently demonstrated strong policy judgment, analytical rigor, and a deep commitment to client service, making her promotion well deserved. We are also thrilled to welcome Jessica back to the team as we continue investing in the talent and expertise necessary to support our clients' success."

"One of the strengths of Plurus Strategies has always been our ability to combine senior-level strategic counsel with a talented team of policy professionals who bring energy, insight, and execution to every client engagement," said Kerr, Executive Vice President and Co-Founder. "Varunavee and Jessica further strengthen our ability to provide thoughtful analysis, develop creative advocacy strategies, and help clients capitalize on opportunities in Washington, both in the current political environment and as they begin to plan for next year."

With Congress expected to consider a range of legislative priorities during the lame duck session while laying the groundwork for the 120th Congress, Plurus Strategies continues to expand its capacity to help clients anticipate developments, build relationships, and achieve meaningful policy outcomes.
